Winner of the American-Israeli culture foundation (2005-2016) and the Chais Family Foundation, (2008-2009) Israeli harpist Hila Ofek is a solo and chamber music active harpist, performs regularly in Israel and Europ. Hila was awarded many prizes in national and international competition, such as the outstanding performance of piece composed by Ben Haim, at the Ben-Haim Competition (2010), the 1st prize of the Concerto Competition in the Jerusalem Academy of Music, (2012), 2nd prize of the second Israeli harp competition (2014), 3rd prize of the International Harp Competition in Italy (2014) and the 2nd prize in the Mexico international harp competition (2016) and more. She performed as a soloist with the Carlos Chaurez Orchestra, Maestro Giora Feidman and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, with the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, and took part in original recording with Maestro Giora Feidman and the Gershwin quartet in Munich.
Hila Ofek was Born in 1990 in Tel Aviv and got her first musically education in piano studies at the age of seven at the Jerusalem Academy of music and dance conservatory where she later, at the age of eleven continued with harp studies at the harp class of Mrs. Gittit Boasson. In 2012, after graduating from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and dance she continued her studies with Prof. Germaine Lorenzini in Lyon, France.
In 2013 Hila became a member in Prof. Francoise Friedrich harp class at the University of Music and performing arts in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, there in 2015, she successfully established her Master degree and currently studying for the artistic diploma (Konzertexamen). In 2012, she has established with Israeli saxophone player, Andre Tsirlin "Jerusalem Duo" and together they were awarded the 1st prize in the Israeli music competition in London, (2013), a special prize at the Terem crossover competition (2013) and the 1st prize in Karl Adler competition (2014).
