A staircase concert in your building is now possible*

No costs - No Risk - No worries

Dear friends,

Some of you may remember the concerts we played in our staircase in spring this year at the very beginning of the pandemic. Among the many positive feedbacks we received from all over the world, some of you asked us if we were willing to come to your own staircase.

We are happy to inform you that after creating an optimal concept for such a visit and thanks to the financial support of the Cultural Foundation of Hesse, we can now perform a staircase concert in your building as well.

We have gathered here some information for all those who would like to enjoy our live performance with their neighbors without having to leave home, without risk of infection and absolutely free of charge.

1. What is a staircase concert?
2. How long does the concert last?
3. What will be played in the concert?
4. How much does a Staircase Concert cost?
5. Which type of staircase should it be?
6. How can I invite you to a staircase concert?

1. What is a staircase concert?

A Staircase Concert is a concert that takes place in the entrance area (foyer/ground floor) of a building.

We initiated the first staircase concerts during the lockdown in the first wave of the pandemic in spring 2020. As a consequence of the corona-related restrictions, any kind of social contact had to be reduced to a minimum and avoided as far as possible. In order to lift the spirits of our neighbors and be able to perform, we had the idea of a concert that took place in the staircase of the building where we live.

While we were playing downstairs, our neighbors opened their doors and listened to the concert without having to leave their apartment, thereby minimizing the risk of infection to zero.

2. How long does the concert last?

Our experience has shown us that the ultimate duration of a staircase concert should not be longer than 45-50 minutes.

However, this can of course be adjusted according to individual wishes.

3. What will be played in the concert?

Our concerts are interactive and are accompanied by a vivid moderation, so that every listener, regardless of his/her cultural background or age, can enjoy our program. This includes music from Disney movies, Beatles songs, romantic classical arias, Argentinean tangos, traditional oriental songs and Jewish klezmer music.

4. What does a staircase concert cost?

Thanks to the financial support of the Cultural Foundation of Hesse, we can offer our staircase concerts absolutely free of charge.

Should a neighbor wish to express their gratitude by making a symbolic contribution, we are happy to offer them the possibility of purchasing one of our CDs at a special price.

We have also developed a hygiene concept for this.

5. What kind of staircase should it be?

Theoretically, any house where the residents on the top floors can hear what is happening in the entrance area (foyer/ground floor) should be sufficient. However, to achieve the best possible experience, the building (both new and old) should ideally have a maximum of 4 to 5 floors.

6. how can I invite you to a staircase concert?

If you have read everything so far, it might mean that you are possibly interested in having us perform in your staircase.

If this is the case or if you have any further questions, we would be very happy to hear from you. Please feel free to use one (or more) of the options below to contact us.

*Note: The number of concerts is limited, so we will be following the old good principle of

" First come, first served " :-)
